Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1

Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1 is one of the largest terminals in the world. 

The building is shaped like a Y and has boarding gates 1 to 80, and 511 to 530.

Transfer between Terminals 

The Automated People Mover takes passengers between Terminal 1, Midfield Concourse, SkyPier, and Terminal 2.

This electric train system carries around 7,200 passengers per hour and departs every few minutes.

Terminal 1 and Midfield Concourse: 06:00 – 01:00

Terminal 1 to SkyPier: 07:00 – 23:15

Terminal 2 to Terminal 1: 06:30 – 01:00

Levels

Level 3

Has the AWTC building attached to it, and offers a wide variety of food, drink & shops and banking facilities.

Level 4

It is a departure area. It is home of the Skypier and duty free stores. 

Level 5

This is the Arrivals level, where the baggage reclaim area is located. 

Level 6

Level 6 is home of the Y-shaped departure concourse.

There are concessions and restaurants too. 

Level 7

Check-in and departures level with check-in counter areas A - K, the Customer Service Center. 

Level 8

Where some restaurants are located.

Rest of levels serve as airlines offices. 

North Satellite Concourse (NSC)

It serves Terminals 1 and 2 and has boarding gates 501 to 510, as well as some concessions.

There is a shuttle service for those passengers that need to connect to North Satellite Concourse, which runs every 4 minutes

Midfield Concourse (MFC)

Serves Terminal 1 and is located west of T1.

It is accessible from T1’s level 6 by an extension of the automated people mover (APM).

It has 5 levels and plenty of different amenities: Wi-Fi, seatings, power sockets.
